Stencilled Ceiling Medallion

Pin it button big

All the overhead lighting in my apartment is either recessed or attached to an ugly fan, but I really wish I had a ceiling medallion or two — or just a place to use this stencil.

To me, ceiling medallions are one of the best, classiest things about older buildings, and they look great with traditional or more modern d├ęcor. To get the look with this stencil, you would need a ladder and an afternoon, but it's not a bad alternative to buying and installing an actual medallion.

Cutting Edge Stencils' ceiling medallion pattern costs $54.95. The husband and wife company sells a range of styles, and they also have a helpful guide to stenciling.
