City kids love Crown Fountain. In the hour we visited, hundreds of children got totally soaked, bathing suit or not. The grownups with them seemed relaxed and happy to just sit back and watch the pandemonium which ensued every time the sculpture got ready to spray the crowd.
It really is a joyful place where people laugh out loud and let their kids have fun; a perfect spot for late summer.

Chicago is such a great city. I was there for mere four days and cannot wait to go back. Millennium Park rocks!
I moved to Chicago three years ago expecting it to be a temporary thing, two years tops. Now I've bought a condo and I'm never leaving; I can't imagine living in any other city right now.
i visited your city early last month (1st time since millenium park opened) and watching the kids play in the fountain is one of my favorite memories. 'twas lovely to see public space being used with such obvious delight :)
