We've always been big fans of giving things a second life with small inexpensive changes. This lamp caught our eye over the weekend and we love the new life that's been given to a vintage thrift store find. It's a great way to bring a room together without buying a matchy matchy lamp off the shelf and is perfect for your kids spaces no matter how old they are. Click through for details...
Spray paint is a simple way to add color to any space
, we're all familiar with it, but it was really the shade decorations that really made us smile on this project. It made an otherwise tall and overly vintage shade take on a whole new life.
Decorative trim is only a few dollars a yard and can be found at specialty stores as well as big box retail craft stores as well! Make sure to take a look next time you're out. If you've never looked for trim, it's often times near the cutting counter! There's no sewing required unless you really want to, hot glue or craft glue will handle the job just fine. If you're worried about the trim sagging while it's drying, simply pin it up with clothespins!
