Earlier this year Sarahc over at AT Chicago put together a great list of additional uses for tea towels around the house. We can now add the idea above: tea towels with different designs stitched together into a kitchen curtain. Whether you put together a curtain with vintage finds from the flea market or complimentary selections from Target/IKEA/KMart, we think there's possibilities for some patchwork charm. Some additional examples of DIY kitchen curtains and source below the jump...

And you don't necessarily need to resort to a patchwork configuration using tea towels, as displayed by this crafty-nice example using red striped linen tea towels and an Ikea wire curtain system with clips.
We're still smitten with the idea and results of West Coast Crafty's vintage button kitchen curtains from awhile back. Accessorizing your curtains with some detail touches like the buttons take these tea towel curtains from "nice" to "wow, I want to steal that idea!".
Plenty of great tea towel designs to choose from at Xochi Santa Fe if you're revved to get started on your DIY kitchen curtain.

what about that chair in the first pic? anyone?
really like the blue and white photo drape.
amt230, it's ikea from five years ago..
amt230, the chair looks a lot like one that i've been dreaming about but won't be able to afford for years:

Those are exactly two thoughts I had...but it's not quite the salt chair (which is the look I am hoping for also, salchichasmalas, but can't afford), but also isn't the ikea chair (which I might have to settle for, although I always find ikea chairs to be especially wobbly)

The one above doesn't have any braces under it, which would probably make it particularly unstable. but I like the number of slats and shape of the back better than the ikea version.
Could someone please tell me where I can get the rug from the first photo?
@ amt230
I have this chair and it's from Ikea.
It's the "Svante - #13242". They're very sturdy.
Good luck.
