Look! The American Look Video, 1958

Jeremy and Glory emailed us this great link to a 28 minute video of 1950s design utopia: The American Look. From housewares to furniture to Chevrolets, the bit pays homage to "men and women of taste and imagination." Humorous, stiff narration included. Enjoy!

I disagree with the comment f the poster of the video that "but we're not buying American anymore... we're buying Ikea". Ikea copies Scandinavian mid century design and not American.

Not to mention that the video shows many european designs too...Barcelona chair anyone?
