We were walking by this tree on Prince street yesterday when Sara Kate said, "This is the tree that always blossoms first." So, we took a picture, and sure enough, there are some juicy blossoms just getting ready to pop. Can't wait.

Probably planted over a dead body... ;)
I know these pics were just intended to show the buds, but I love them! The colors are beautiful.

now, that's a new york spring story, watching the buds on a tree in a street planter. from my local part of manhattan the crocus are in full bloom in riverside park and the daffodils are rising out of the ground. don't forget spring is a couple of days away.
I saw crocuses and snowdrops in Carroll Gardens last week, and magnolia buds all over soho like those. Spring is near!
