My Sunday outdoor project last weekend was getting the hammock out of the garage and, boy, was that satisfying. Here's a little outdoor decor porn to distract from a busy day. The hammock, in particular, is new favorite and I bought it at the end of last summer. It's a Pawleys Island Hammock in the extra large size, and I was surprised that it was softer and more comfortable than my memory of laying in rope hammocks as a kid. All the contents are below. Enjoy!

- Hammock: Pawleys Island Hammock in Presidential size
- Small Table: Made by cutting down a Frosta stool
- Decanter: Brought back from A. Simon in Paris
- Book: The Purple Fairy Tale Book - a classic from the series by Andrew Lang
- Glass: Duralex not found again, but similar to CB2's Marta Glass
- Pillow & Blanket: Family handmedowns
- Party Flags Below: found at Etsy, in many styles and really affordable

This picture makes it hard to stay in the office right now! Screams for those delicious lazy days of summer!
I am dreaming of this Ting recycled seatbelt hammock for my postage stamp sized backyard......

I grew up with one of those in the back yard and I would take my pillow and a blanket out and take naps in it! I think my parents still have it 30 years later.
damn! wish I had two trees in my backyard.
We inherited one of these and I guess it is around 30 years old. It is looking rather shabby after decades of weather.
Still works and our goat likes to use it for back scratching.
Thinking of a clean new one for father's day.
I had one in my old yard. Nothing like taking a book, pillow, and throw on a cool spring afternoon and fall asleep out there. Oh, I'm going to miss that hammock!
That's a big backyard!
omg! i grew up going to Pawley's Island every summer, and laying in one of their hammocks during the rest of the year. i recently bought a house in Minnesota and cannot wait to bring a little of the Grand Strand to the Midwest.
thank you, seeing this totally made my day. :)
We put up our hammock this weekend!
For years my go-to wedding present for folks with yards and trees has been a hammock from LL Bean. Everyone has said it was their favorite gift that keeps on giving, summer after summer.
Not to be a grammar jerk, but "my memory of laying in rope hammocks" should be "my memory of lying in rope hammocks..."
Just remember "I lie"
