Have you ever wondered what lies beneath your kids' cuddly, plush robots? This glimpse beneath shows that some are quite simple and others are simply creepy.

Web and industrial designer Matt Kirkland's curiosity got the better of him and he decided to undress, so to speak, some popular plush robot toys to examine their technological skeletons. There's a lot of variety in their complexity, but mostly we found them to be somehow disturbing. See the whole gallery here.

We are wondering, however, if one might attempt a subversive robot makeover ala this project. Any takers?
