Can you figure out all the places that Beth and Sean went on their weekend? Identify these pics in the comments below.
This is a big week at Apartment Therapy. We totally shifted our editorial calendar, it's the beginning of Small Spaces Month, which features our sixth annual Small Cool contest (submissions start when the page goes up today), AND it's also the day I get to show off pics taken from the visit of our Room for Color winner, Beth Lukes (and husband, Sean), who we flew to New York for a design shopping tour two weeks ago.
They had an amazing spring weekend and I'm excited that we're doing it again for this month's contest. We put them up at the Maritime Hotel, I took them to brunch on Saturday morning at the Standard Hotel, and then let them loose on the city. This is what they wrote back this week.
From Beth: Thank you again for such a wonderful weekend! We tried to do and see as much as we could in New York, but honestly I think my favorite thing we did was just walking around the West Village, looking at all the shops and restaurants and people. We also went to Ellis Island, Katz's deli, and the MoMA among other things. I'm sending a small sampling of photos for you.
And thank you for the [Apartment Therapy Cure] book! I have to confess I've only just thumbed through it (I've been consumed with reading for school) but Sean's actually plowed through the entire thing and turned our apartment upside down going into cure mode. We've put a bunch of stuff on craigslist, rearranged the living room, and hopefully we'll get our spring cleaning done this weekend!
Thanks again for everything.
Thanks to Beth and Sean for having a great home and inspiring all our readers with their cool blue living room. Later today we'll start looking for the Smallest, Coolest Home in the world and we'll be offering this trip again.
Who will we be bringing to New York next?
