I love this!

I have always thought the free standing red tool cases are beautiful..growing up my dad restored cars and had about 5-7 large/tall red tool cases lined up against the wall in our garage. With the concrete floors, white walls and these red tool cases it was quit the garage.

I really like the white one shown above, can anyone tell me where that is from?

The red one I looked for you on amazon and sears the hardware is very nice on that one. Waterloo has a similar configurations but not the same hardware.

CB2's Trig filing cabinets and Ikea's Erik and Helmer always reminded me of those tool chests. I always liked the look of the old red Craftsmans though.
Once when I went with the fiance to get his hair cut, the barber shop used Craftsman tool chests to store al their combs, brushes, razors, styling tools, whatever it is that guys use. I thought it was cute.

We're doing this. We have two Craftsmans like the ones you featured, but gray. We pushed them together and use them in the dining room as a sideboard. They're perfect!

They are all great for storage and very attractive but beware of the toolboxes if you want them to be mobile. They are super heavy - I speak from experience:-\

i've got an old vintage like toolbox and it holds spices!

Everyone should give toolboxes a try, especially for organizing small stuff. At design school, my classmates and I all used large plastic tacklebox-style cases (which often have smaller compartments than toolboxes) to hold our pencils, pens, markers, drawing tools etc. I still use mine.

I use a small tool/craft box as my jewelry box. It was particularly convenient when I was moving often.
