We've just been admiring the photos from a house tour over at Tchochkes.com of what is described as an "extremely white apartment"; the spaces showcased are definitely a monochromatic ode to the fairest of the perceptible light spectrum, with bedroom, living room and home office all primarily decorated in white. Besides our surprise of actually taking a liking to a multitude of pillows on a couch (normally a pet peeve), the one feature that really caught our eye was the most colourful element in the home: art created by an arrangement of toy cars!

Comprised of a few hundred toy plastic cars anyone can find at dollar stores, the installation of multitudes give the wall a surprising warmth and sense of fun in an otherwise composed white living space. Great idea and one we might have to steal for our stairway where there's a huge unused vertical space.

Finally, something to do with my old Matchbox collection.
love it
Thank you so much for the mention! Yeah - I just died when I saw this as well - such a brilliant idea. I'm definitely doing it for my sons play room.
I think I used to have enough of those cars to do this. :-)
I love it. Tchochkes rocks.
