Look! Transparent Bathtub from Regia

Okay, before you go nuts about how difficult it would be to clean a clear acrylic bathtub (that was our first thought, too), take a step back to admire how innovative this is. We'd never seen a transparent bathtub before, until we spotted this one on Bloomacious. The Jolie tub from Regia, an Italian bathroom fittings company, manages to be both incredibly sleek and refreshingly playful. See more colors after the jump…

The Jolie is fashioned from a polyester and acrylic resin blend. Glass pigments are mixed into the resin to give the tub that brilliant bright color.

The idea of a transparent tub is kind of sexy, but the shape of these seems less than comfortable. (There is a neck pad of some kind attached to the edge of the tub; still, we don't see how you could really lounge in the Jolie.) What do you think? Could it work in your bathroom?

Visit the Regia site for more details.
