Escapes Month is almost over, but you can use your travel inspirations to decorate your home. Shown is a travel-themed bathroom, with a painting picked up in Madrid, Spain and pictures ledges filled with favorite guide books and souvenirs. Below are more close-ups of travel-themed bathroom ledges...

Leftover coins from trips to various countries, including out-of-use French Francs and Italian Lira, are framed and displayed above. Below, miniature tea sets from Vienna, Austria are kept next to the bath oil, candles and rubber duckie.

And, of course, a great guidebook on Washington, DC.

Slightly off-topic, but do you ever set the cherubs' heads on fire?
whytephoenix: i don't think the cherub candles have been lit yet, but i'll try to get some pictures when that happens!
I've seen this many times. They flap their wings like hummingbirds and dunk their heads in the nearest body of water, in this case, the toilet.
On another topic, I think I see an Ontario licence plate.
Random placements of stuff don't really seem like a collection. Why is the tag on the stuffed animal?
i love the wall color! mind sharing?
omg, so tacky...
I have a duck like that orange one, except mine is green. My daughter got it for me on a trip to the Baltimore aquarium.
tacky is right luckymonkey. and why on earth would you want a bunch of stuff in the bathroom that can get damp and dusty?
