We love the effect of Bauke Knottnerus' trompe l'oeil curtains, being both a room divider while also fooling the eye perceptually into believing a larger space exists, thanks to the print of a room with perspective accuracy. The theatrical effect would especially be impressive if one had a curtain with day and evening scenes, perhaps with backlighting behind the curtain in the right places to complete the effect. We expect custom digital prints on fabric is not necessarily a cheap option, but printing is available on voile, poly poplin, Celtic cloth, vinyl and the magician's fabric, scrim for a variety of effects...
This idea could also be applied to walls, instead of as a divider, as a supergraphic on runners that could be open and closed for a "view", to hide a TV, or shade off large windows while retaining some sort of view.
