There are projects, and then there are projects. We found these two handmade lamps at uber-vintage/salvage/curio shop Great Stuff, and the base materials are unique, to say the least.
The first is a lamp made from popsicle sticks. The twisting, undulating pattern saves it from being a simple feat of construction, instead turning the corner towards art.
Next is this lamp, with a shade made from an abandoned paper wasp nest. The layers are so thin that the natural striations are showcased when the light shines through.
