When decorating at home, we always address the four walls and floor of every room. But don't forget the overhead plane, especially in the bedroom. It could be fun to have a bedroom ceiling that's different from your run-of-the-mill white-painted gypsum board. Check out these instances:
- Wood: This ceiling is an exposed heavy timber structure, which we don't all have ready access to. But you could apply wood as a decorative finish for a similar warm touch. Image: via Wikio
- Wallpaper: Not just for walls, the dark paper in this bedroom wraps from the upper walls up onto the ceiling. And a more traditional approach stops the wallpaper at the crown molding. Images: Living Etc. via House to Home and Canadian House and Home
- Pressed tin: The silvery reflective finish is light and ethereal. Image: James Merrell via CocoCozy
- Decorative lighting: An eye-catching capiz chandelier hangs in the Young House Love bedroom. Also, the ceiling has been painted a really soft green.
