After many years of cleaning up coat racks and hall closets full of hangers we decided to say enough is enough in our new place and instead have turned to a rather unusual item — shower curtain hooks!
Hoodie season is upon us and since jackets and Fall outerwear can easily slide off hangers, I decided to put to use some old hardware that was hanging out in my tool box.
Shower curtain hooks slide cconveniently through the holes in our rack and sit over bars in closets just the same way. If your jacket doesn't have a hang tab to hang it from you can easily stitch in a small piece of fabric or hang it from the neck line (instead of the hood so you don't end up looking like a gnome). It's been a snap to hang jackets back up after use and although it wasn't exactly a trying task to begin with, this makes the chore easier.
