We love the wall of photos we saw recently at 1300 on Fillmore, a new restaurant devoted to honoring the storied Jazz Age for which the Fillmore area is known. Now we're curious, would anyone want to recreate the effect in their home?
Each sepia-toned picture features historical images of jazz greats who used to play in the area. The framed photos take up one whole wall of the restaurant and vary in size. They are all backlit, which creates a warm, kind of sexy glow throughout the room. The photos ground the space in the history of the area, while the design of the wall makes a modern statement. We also love the mismatched club chairs for adding a casual yet elegant vibe.

An old department store trick...My art moves around way too much to make this sort of commitment
How the hell do you back light framed photos so they glow like that?
More pictures of the walls would have been nice. (2 closeup pics is not enough to give an impression of what the walls look like)
Actually, AT posts in general have way too few pictures. And that's 95% of the reason I come here!
