Look! Wrapping Floating Furniture

We are moving into a 2 bdrm apartment in a few weeks and we're looking forward to finally having hardwood floors, a laundry room in our unit and a backyard. Plus we'll have the design opportunity to float some furniture, in particular our L-shaped couch. We are thinking of placing a console table behind the couch or maybe something like...

...CB2s Axis storage unit. We love the look of this bookcase / side table / console table for it's style, clean lines and function. Wrapping furniture is not only a way to your maximize space but to create an impact.

having some kind of table or shelf behind the couch is useful because that's really where you want your light source to be, not on the side of the couch so that you have to contort yourself to read a book.

How can an item that's been posted 3 times "inspire" another post? Rather than taking a snotty tone with BESP, perhaps AT's writers might find something new.

Palmetto: Rebecca was particularly careful of not wanting to come off "snotty"...she truly wanted to convey she wasn't intentionally rehashing content and even asked me if it was okay to politely to attempt to explain herself. I suspect she was only frustrated at being misunderstood.

Please be a little more understanding and forgiving...we all repeat ourselves (I know I've made that mistake several times...totally guilty), we all make mistakes (guilty again, daily!), and what seems uninspirational to you might be something completely brand new to another new reader. As the site has grown, what we've discovered is that there are core readers who know the site better than we do ourselves, because in a sense, it's always easier to critique than create. But the bulk of our readers are drive-by traffic who don't know that one of our other city writers posted something 3 weeks ago or even yesterday that just only fell into our radar. I don't think any of our posts or the tone we try to take try to make ourselves to be anything except whom we are in our real lives, painful mistakes and all. I'm always hoping our harshest critics can become our closest and most considerate allies, but it takes a mutual understanding between us over here and you over there to bridge that gap. The border between us is thinner than one would think.

But come on...it's Friday. Let's just call it day, enjoy the weekend and we'll aim to improve the content each and every day, we promise!

I've seen a few posts on here where the comments are all about this having been posted before, and yet I'm seeing it for the first time. I even consider myself a fairly regular reader, but with a full time job and a young family I don't have time to read every single post, nowhere near, let alone complain about it if I see something twice! I just pass by it, there is loads of other interesting stuff on your wonderful site! So thanks :)

It might help if people acknowledge they know they are reposting something and put their reasoning in context.

It would probably help if the copy and pictures weren't identical.

In any case wrapping a twee unit around the couch destroys the point of 'floating' furniture.

Destroys the point?

How is that possible? If the room is so incredibly large that they need to float the sofa... and they also want extra storage space, then this seems to make tidy work of it.
