Look! X-Ray Lamp Sans The Radiation

While most of us don't really dream of going back to the ER for x-rays, those looking to add a more industrious look to their homes will surely enjoy these lovely looking twists on lampshades by designer Wonsuk Cho.

These pendant lamps used actual x-rays of incandescent and compact fluorescent light bulbs to create the realistic effect. While we're already super interested in grabbing one for ourselves, there's no word on pricing or available for the lamp just yet.

However, the team at Technabob found a clever DIY solution for those who just can't wait for elusive street dates and sky high pricing.

"Just slice up that old film of your fractured limb, glue it onto the sides of an Artemide Petronilla ceiling fixture and hang it up."

We say take it a step further; 1) find a friend that works in the radiology department 2) x-ray some cool retro tech items like a toaster, Polaroid camera, or Commadore 64, and 3) make your own lamps using the DIY method above.
