As if we didn't miss real European yogurt enough as it is (we have yet to find a yogurt stateside that nears the delicious creamy quality of french concoctions), we see this mod-a-licious overhead lampshade constructed out of 70 plastic fruit yogurt cups. A closeup and a photo of it at night under the jump...
What a dangerous excuse to eat more chocolate and tapioca pudding so we can make our own version. You know...for the sake of research? More photos of the yogurt cup lampshade on Craftster.org.

If you leave the light on for too long, will the plastic melt?
I think if you use a low watt CFL, you shouldn't have many worries about plastic melting.
Oh, just stop. Stop it! I had almost forgotten about French yogurt, and my eternal disillusionment with American "yogurt." Now you've reminded me. Alas.
Excellent!
Greek yogurt is pretty amazing. Particularly Fage.
I've seen "European Style" yogurt at trader joe's, I think in green tea and maybe espresso flavor. Can't vouch for its authenticity or likeness to the original though.
OMG is that petit filous containers? I'm salivating now.
so pretty, very thoughtful.
Would using Krylon Fusion for Plastic & our own yet-to-be-selected-yogurt work for an American version?
Really cute and very clever.
I grew up in France and miss French yogurt a loooooot. For some reason, my stomach hurts when I eat American yogurt.
