Where do you find inspiration for your own outdoor spaces? Do you emulate landscaping you've seen in magazines? Take notes on a friend's successful garden? With the weather finally getting warmer (after a winter that seemed to last forever), we'll be looking to spruce up any outdoor spaces we can get our hands on. Will you?
While we certainly love magazines as inspiration, we'll also be getting tons of ideas from Austin's upcoming Outdoor Living Tour. Taking place Saturday, April 17 from 10am - 6pm, the tour is set to highlight 10 actual outdoor living spaces, each one exhibiting different features, from amazing landscape design, to building architecture, to water features, decks, patios, fireplaces and more. And, each outdoor space on the tour will have industry experts to answer any questions if you want to figure out how to incorporate ideas you've seen into your own outdoor space.
The photos shown in this post are from the Bunny Run property, a "2-acre estate featuring numerous garden rooms all connected by the use of water elements," but you'll also be able to crawl around the outdoor spaces of a modern remodel, a 1927 Travis Heights remodeled cottage and even the grounds of Action Figure's East Austin office space. Tickets are $12 in advance or $20 at any of the properties the day of the tour.
So, are you already starting to plan out your outdoor decorations and renovations this year? Where are you finding the best inspiration? What trends are you looking to incorporate into your outdoor spaces this year?
