Pretty and Practical. A calendar like you haven't seen in a while. Lotta Jansdotter has made a calendar that is also a dishtowel. How genius.
Not only do you save paper, but you have a keepsake forever to remind you of 2008. We're not sure though if we'd actually use it as a dishtowel (it's too pretty) or hang it for pure calendar use. We're also thinking of wrapping a gift or two in these to save paper and give something we know they can use at least one way. Would you dare use it as a dishtowel?

Calendar dish towels have always been popular with a certain segment....but these are definitely much cooler.

I would use it. I don't like things that are just for show; much better if they are functional too.
Whoops - that link didn't work - but just look up calendar dish towels on ebay. I remember my grandmother having those.
Not your gramma's dish cloth/calander cuteness, nice idea to wrap gifts in something so attractive and useful.
My grandmother has given me a few grandmother-ish calendar dish towels of the year I was born. The first one she gave me she sewed into a small pillow. I really love the funky retro look and colors of the towels she gave me and have considered making the 2nd one into a pillow and tossing them onto a contrasting couch.
