Typically I have an idea of exactly what I want a room to look like, but this time was different. After finding out our baby was a boy, Bryn Alexandra gave me the inspiration I needed to push forward. Nurseries are so personal and special to the entire family and I think this was the added pressure that made the task difficult. If you're a mom, you know that passing up a Pottery Barn Kids crib for $250 is just silly. Now, I'm glad something other than design made forced me to buy something I wouldn't have originally picked out. It was a floor model that wasn't discontinued so I was able to buy the crib converter. Score!
The curtain design came from Byrn and Melissa from Windows by Melissa was the wonderful seamstress who brought them to life. I couldn't find blackout curtains that I loved for a reasonable price. Custom was the way to go.
As may be able to tell, we're big race fans and I incorporated the car/photos from Amazon without incorporating a theme. Thankfully, we love the way it turned out! We spend a lot of time in this room and hope it grows with Louis through the years.
