
Do you like your caprese salad (yum!) served with a side of nostalgia? After a move to Hong Kong forced city planner and cooking enthusiast Cherry Chaicharn to leave her beloved San Francisco, inspiration struck. She decided to combine all of her loves into a functional memento of her former home.

Using her background in urban planning as design inspiration, Cherry of August Table created her first set of plates, a complete series of San Francisco featuring the neighborhoods of the Mission/Castro, Glen Park/Noe Valley, North Beach, and South of Market. Additional cities link Bangkok, Tokyo and Hong Kong will follow.
The San Francisco Neighborhood Series Plate set is available through August Table or the SFMOMA MuseumStore for $60 for a set of four plates. August Table also sells a San Francisco Platter.

These remind me of those quilts you featured a while ago with the streets stitched in. Very nice - wish they were sold separately, too.
