We just found, via black white bliss (and Absolutely Beautiful Things) a new-ish blog, Small Space Style.
Blogger Lisa gives very little personal information, so we don't know where she's based, or much else. But we do know that she lives in a 1,000-square foot home with her husband and two kids. (Although not everyone considers 1,000 square feet small...)
We're not sure how we missed seeing her blog before, but since we're obviously suckers for anything small space-related, and she has great images, we're glad we found it now.
Check it out here.

I am one person totally for small space living, but for a growing family of four, even I would count 1,000 as small.
Floor plan is everything. I recall a 600-sq-ft two-bedroom that would have felt compact with two kids crammed in the second bedroom... but our current 1125-sq-ft two-bedroom would feel chaotic under the same circumstances, due to where the hypothetical kids' toys would end up being played-with.
Either way, yes, 1000 sq ft is certainly not large for a family of 4.
