The Random Light by London designer Miranda Watkins is a stunning modern design that could work in many settings. We can imagine it hanging in a home, shop, or restaurant.
The Random Light is constructed from semi-translucent perspex (plastic) and anodized aluminum panels. The clusters of long strips hang around a central light source and shift in the breeze, diffusing the light as random shadows. We'd love to see it in person.
No pricing available -- which means it's out of our reach. (However, if we were handy, we could probably make a similar lamp ourselves...)
(Thanks, Andree, for pointing out the obviously incorrect dimensions. We've changed the post.)

11 1/2 foot? Uh...maybe inches? Because anything 11 1/2 feet long wouldn't exactly hang well in a lot of places.
Oh, wait. There are clusters of 11, and each cluster is made of 1/2 foot long individual pieces?
Website doesn't help, it's in cm. I don't know my meters.
Reminds me of the pretty glass mobiles my mom had when I was a kid. And the wonderful tinkling sound they made.
