Name: Lucy (2)
Location: Houston, TX
Color Inspiration: I really started sewing about a year ago and have been inspired by some amazing lines out there ("Little Folks" by Anna Maria Horner is my absolute favorite but I've also been inspired by Denise Schmidt, Amy Butler, Laura Gunn...). I've never been much of a decorator but suddenly I want these happy prints everywhere in my home.

Color Inspiration continued: Lucy is my first girl after 3 boys so I think I'm going a little overboard with the whole girl thing but it's just so fun. I love Lucy in blue so the wall choice was easy. I also love decorating with illustrations from our favorite books and other sentimental stuff. (I bought that puzzle tower 10 years ago for my first baby and we still have all the pieces! :)

Tip for Using Color: I think you should decorate with colors that make you happy. Don't be afraid to mix up prints and shades. I went "shopping" in my own closets and painted/recovered a lot of the decor in this room.

Colors Used: The wall is painted "True Turquoise." It's a Glidden color but we had Home Depot mix it in Behr paint. I used hot pink and squash as accent colors but really didn't rule out any color if I liked it enough!

Thanks for your colorful entry Cathy and good luck!
