Check out Lulu deKwiatkowski's new line of children's fabrics for Schumacher. The textile designer used a modern palette of pastels and brights with the bold, handpainted style for which she is known and loved. There are eight prints, six embroideries, and embroidered tape, all on cotton grounds in multiple colorways. We can't wait to see these start appearing in kids' rooms. Here are a few favorites from the line:
Top Row:
1. Butterfly print in Multi
2. Firecrackers print in Pink Lemonade
3. Jungle Jubilee embroidery in Leaf
4. Jelly Bean print in Punch
5. Lollipop print in Turquoise/Leaf
Bottom Row:
6. Sailboat print in Turquoise
7. Ode To Matisse print in Punch
8. Parade print in Multi
9. Star Print in Sunshine
10. Love embroidery in Blueberry

That first butterfly print is gorgeous!
But I'll bet I can Spoonflower it for a whole lot less than Schumacher.
@Madame Suggia,
Pretty unethical, don't you think?
Love the butterflies, too! The curtains in the photo are cool as well, looks like the lollipop print in another colorway... (not as fond of the turquoise version of this one...)
The multicolored examples show a wonderful balance of being bright and naive enough to suit a child, yet sophisticated enough not to gag an adult.
The monochrome examples don't impress me as much. The "I love you" fabric is DOA for me -- can't stand words in decor, don't want to numb myself by constant immersion in a "I love you" that makes love a forgettable background hum. And #2 looks like the pattern name might as well be "Anuses." #3 manages to be monochrome yet lively. If I had a child, I'd make a beeline to Lulu DK.
