Brazilian designers Vinícius Lopes Leite and Gabriela Kuniyoshi packaged the lamp as an easy-to-assemble set that includes the base (a trio of wooden legs), lamp shade (a thin sheet of cork), and a top piece with a compact fluorescent light fixture.
The cork attaches with push pins and emits a soft glow that's better suited for accent lighting. The whole lamp assembles in a matter of minutes!

Shaw's Original Fir...
It may look and be functional, but that's about it.
I prefer my lamp shades to be translucent. I shake my head at ones that are painted black or similar.
It's not a great lamp. Lampshades need to be translucent. This is just... Odd and pointless. I have a lamp with a white cloth lampshade and I keep small pins and mementos on the shade using magnets (one on the outside of the shade and one on the inside). Nothing flammable. Something like that could work if you're just dead set on sticking stuff to your lampshade.
