Matteo's Bambino line of elegant and sweet crib bedding could be a new parent's dream. Made from luxurious fibers, it might just help your little one get more sleep.
The artisans at Matteo spin their own fibers from high quality textiles, like Egyptian cotton, Peruvian alpaca, and Nepalese cashmere. Sheets are sewn with more stitches per inch and are garment dyed, which means a vintage look and softer product. Designs are simple and classic with timeless details like crochet trim, hand embroidery, reverse French seams and hand quilting. Pieces are inspired by unusual aesthetics; the Hammock line imitates Brazilian wedding hammocks, while the Folk series employs Norwegian embriodery techniques. The lines come in beautiful, muted colors like celedon and greige, or deeper hues like plum and black.
Matteo offers sheets, bumpers, comforters, crib skirts and pillows, ranging from $30.00 to $295.00.

well this line is beautiful but the photography is very depressing. funeral homeish.
The bedding is pretty, but this post really caused me to roll my eyes. "it might just help your little one get more sleep"... please. you don't need luxury bedding for that, any 100% cotton bedding will do just fine, and don't we all know that sometimes no amount of effort or money you throw at it will make your child sleep through the night.
If people have the money to spend on luxury bedding, good for them. but can we please abandon this silly narrative?
Can I open up a can of worms and ask why bedding manufacturers even make pillows, bumpers and such aimed at newborns? I used the comforter in our bedding set elsewhere in the baby's room, but pillows?
Wow, suffocation hazard is all that I see when I look at these pictures.
This may sound hyper critical, but that just looks like one giant SIDS risk to me. Infants should not have pillows or loose bedding in their bed.
Babies don't need soft luxury bedding to sleep - shoot when you think about it they did just fine naked in a noisy watery environment for 9 months!
Yeah, I agree; this just looks dangerous. God forbid a few uninformed parents see this and think its a great idea to throw a few down pillows into the crib. ughhhh
Pillows and loose fitting bedding for a crib/bassinet? Definitely SIDS risk. This is a totally irresponsible post promoting this line of bedding.
AmberM: I think bedding manufacturers make this stuff because 'we' all buy those nice expensive crib sets! I learned after having my first - I won't be doing it again with my second:-)
And further on the topic of SIDS risk bumpers and pillows, etc. Even when you CAN buy just the crib sheets and the skirt (if you're into that) instead of a set, it's never the cute, patterned fabric for those pieces!
