Is anyone else having a stressful week? Sometimes I just need a mental vacation. And although I stare at photos of interiors all day long, looking at hotel bathrooms relax me like nothing else. It's almost as good as being there. Almost.
There's something about a hotel bathroom that instantly transports me to the destination. I can easily imagine relaxing in the hammock at the W Mexico, the sun still hot on my skin after searching for the city's best margarita. Or taking a soothing soak after a full day of visiting the gardens and museums near The Kensington Hotel.
So until I can jet off to Bali or Prague, I'll keep taking trips at my desk, and let my coworkers wonder why I look so peaceful.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who needs a mental vacation sometimes! Most recently I've been looking at pictures like this and this.
PS- the bathrooms are lovely!
Book me at the Kensington, please! What IS going on out there this week? Jeeeeeeez!
My least favorite recent hotel bathroom was at the W Hotel in New York off Times Square: The sink faucet in the bathroom could have used an instruction manual to operate!
But my dream bathroom is one of the two Crystal Penthouses aboard Crystal Symphony - The idea of enjoying a bubblebath & glass of champagne while gazing out the windows during a transit of the Panama Canal or cruising into Venice while listening to the BBC from the television in the wall at the end of the tub is so appealing...
I wonder how many telescopes in the nearby buildings are permanently aimed at those Joule showers...
"looking at hotel bathrooms relaxes me like nothing else." That sentence cracked me up.
which made me feel relaxed.
#1 is so pretty, but that tub doesn't look large enough to stretch out in.
#6, love, love, love.
Perfect timing! End of the school year- my students make me need a nice bubble bath :)
Hotel bathrooms are nice, but when I'm stressed, I look at the book 'Kittens in the Sun.' Just pictures of kittens and cats, playing or just sleeping in the sun on a Greek island.
It's the best.
I love that first photo...makes me want to go take a nice long bath.
The rosewood one looks the best!
