Lyla Tov monsters are made by a Brooklyn-based family under the direction of big boss Lyla. She's five. What else would you expect from the daughter of a costume designer mom and TV producer dad, both veterans of the Jim Henson Company?
When Lyla was three she designed her first monster as a birthday gift for her dad, and the rest is very recent history. Each Lyla Tov monster starts out as a sketch by Lyla, who also chooses fabrics and makes critical executive decisions regarding bows, tutus and horns. Lyla's mom Erin oversees patterning and fabrication, her dad Eric handles materials purchasing and acquisition, and three year old brother Quinn gives every monster the hug test. We would like to hug them all. Lyla Tov means "good night" in Hebrew, and these sweet monsters would be a perfect bedtime companion.
