Most of the time I am a neutral type of girl and never go too bold with my wall colors. Today, however, I am ready to stray away from grey and start talking about teal.

With all of the summer light shining through my windows I thought it might be time to try a rich and vibrant paint color. I love the inspiration image above due to the fact that the teal is more of a jewel tone and masculine. The solid black sofa, silver details and pops of green calm down the wall color as well. A word of advice, choose a paint color that does not compete with your artwork but rather enhances it. The end result should be a striking space with stand-out color. I am ready to grab my paintbrush!

So our bedroom is currently that exactly color teal. Sort of by accident, but my husband doesn't want to repaint. I'm starting to embrace it, but trying to stay away from it being too beachy. We have dark furniture, which looks nice, but I'm starting to like navy blue as an accent color as well, which weights it down a bit.
I painted an accent wall and my dining area teal this spring!! I love it, it always feels so cheery!
I'm in love. I'm not sure why, but the green with the teal lifts my heart. Must be reminiscent of a tropical beach with lush vegetation.
I'm actually looking to do these colors in my living room. I was inspired by this photograph of a peacock my friend took. Question: Do we know where that rug comes from? I love it!
My living room is teal and green and I love it! Every so often I wish for neutrals, but the blue is so much more lively. It's great for parties and comforting when I'm alone.
I love this colour combo. I have green as the unifying colour through my home. Plus teal in my bedroom and ensuite, orange and red in my main area (open plan: kitchen, dining, lounge, theatre) ... my grey walls go with it all. I admire homes with bright colours on the walls but I guess I'm just a bit 'safe'. lol! ............ LOVE the pot plant. :)
It's a nice color combo but a varation on it is my favorite color comb...torquoise with lime green.
I have that going on in my living space right now! I couldn't agree more on the combo...BUT...who makes/sells that silver table?
One of my favourite combos... also turquoise.
Here are some other great images; not quite the same colours, but in the same ballpark, playing around with the same concept:

I have those fake moss rocks! Love 'em!
I like teal and green, and like turquoise and chartreuse even more. Teal and green is calmer. Orange looks good with teal and green, and probably coral (pink-orange) would look good with teal and green, too.
Oops, "teal and green *are* calmer."
Where is that pillow from!? I love it!
OMG the rug is awesome! Where is that from? I do wish that the styled pics included source info...
And I've been in love with teal/chartreuse for years now. I compliment it with hits of black, chocolate and even navy in my design work. Vibrant and beautiful color combos that really pop in print and web...
I think "teal and green *is* calmer" is correct. Because in this case you are talking about a singular combination as opposed to multiple different things.
@Lucy Lamare, Thanks, that makes sense.
Anyone happen to know where I can find that pillow?
One of my favorite color combinations; I am drawn to these colors instantly - together create a sense of calm.
Does anyone know the actual paint color of this? I've not been able to find the exact shade of teal like this yet.
