I love how bright and airy my small home feels. I have a lot of large windows, which flood my apartment with natural light. Additionally, there's character everywhere. There are moldings on everything- the ceiling, the windows, the doors. The built in hutches still have their original latches. It has its original cabinets and wood floors- it makes it feel very authentic and comfortable. Also, the layout is outstanding- there are five distinct spaces- which makes my tiny apartment feel much larger.
Three of My Best Tips and Tricks for Creating a Successful Small Space::
1.) Mirrors make it all look so much bigger, and they reflect light in a great way. 2.) WHITE. Don’t get me wrong, I do love color, but I chose to stick with white in my tiny studio, because I think it makes it feel airier and brighter. You can easily add pops of color through the artwork you hang. 3.) Edit and continue to edit all of your belongings, every season. I’m a shopper and I love to buy things that I don’t have space for (but one day might), so this is very difficult rule for me to follow, but it’s a must.
