This vase reminds us of those knotted rag rugs, which are so cozy and comfortable. It is made in Vietnam of skinny strips of rolled magazine paper. We first saw these vases in the window display at a Brooklyn Heights shop, Overtures, where the vases sell for $29 each. The owner there says the vases are sealed inside and should hold water, though the shop hasn't tested them out yet. The vase also sells online at Patina Stores, but for $45 each.
