Maggie Rose) & Ryan Location: Upper Queen Anne — Seattle, Washington Our apartment is the upper level of a 1907 single family home that was converted into two units in the '70s. We love the existing original features like the large windows and pocket doors leading to the living room, as well as painted hardwood floors throughout most of the rooms. As our first home together, decorating was a challenge in merging two apartments of furniture cohesively and on a tight budget. We settled on a soothing neutral style that fits our personalities well - I used lots of natural textures, blues and greens, especially in the living room, and we chose muted and calming paint colors together. We love to switch art around to change the feel of a room; right now we're displaying everything from concert posters to custom watercolors. The office is where I got to have a little fun, bringing in warm accents and more color. As renters, we've been lucky to be able to paint, but are limited as far as any other structural changes go. For the most part, we're working with what we have and making affordable updates as we're able. Thanks, Maggie & Ryan!
