We're always on the lookout for new ways to store our vast media collections
without intruding into the design of a space. Maggie's recent apartment tour over at Desire to Inspire
really brought some cool ideas to the table. One of them being a storage unit for her records that doubles as a window seat.
The idea is eloquent, simple, and downright gorgeous. Not only is the upholstered material used for the cushion perfect for the warm colors surrounding the space, but it makes the collection of vinyl appear more like decor than dusty old records in your dad's basement.
It's a fresh approach that we're certainly digging. We also enjoy the subtle touches such as reserving the other end of the seat for the record player and running wires behind the shelf into a nearby speaker that's not directly on the left and right sides of the unit. Stereo equipment doesn't always have to be the center of focus, you know?
One thing's for sure - there's nothing like hanging out and listening to some jams with a splendid view of the outside.
Check out the rest of the beautiful tour over at Desire to Inspire. An amazing picture-perfect desk awaits!
