Vibrant and multicolored, Maggie uses her chairs to introduce playful colors into her home's decor. Whether it's a modern chair with a retro pattern or a vintage chair reupholstered with contemporary fabric--each room is brought to life. A plush, velvet blue chair in the guest bedroom mixes nicely with green walls. Outdoors, a wrought iron lounger becomes the center of attention with orange cushions. To us, using a chair as the focal point reads warm and inviting which is always a goal in our home.

Shaw's Original Fir...
does ANYONE else think that dog looks scary?!
Not loving the legs, but otherwise these (first pic) are pretty cute and the pick of the bunch.
The dog looks old and evil.
i just opened up the comments hoping someone already said that the dog was creepy!!
My first thought was... "ZOMBIE DOG!!!"
Scary Old Creepy Evil Zombie Dog will Eat Your Soul.
Just sayin'.
vampire dog complete with very dark circles under the eyes. scary.
Why would you dis someone's (probably sweet, old) dog. Ya'll are evil!
:-/ dog = nightmare
but does anyone know where i could secure a print like the orange one on that wall? the shape of la with the names of the areas in sort of the shapes they're in? i love that
He made me jump, for real. I was looking at the pic not even noticing him and then *bam* creepy, scary dog came into sight. Why does he have to be in the corner like that?
yesthisistayler- thats an ork poster there are lots of cities to choose from
http://orkposters.com/chicago.html
im sure he's a great puppy!... just not his good angle ;-)
Awww he's cute and scruffy!
Love the chairs. And quit the mean comments about the dog!
Perhaps the dog is just less than enthused about the fabric choices. "Either the chairs go or I go." I think they're quite fun so there's no accounting for taste, Fido.
Does anyone know where the Asian-looking chair in the background can be found? Or is it an antique?
Mean comments won't hurt the dog's feelings. And he does look odd in that picture. Almost like he was photoshopped in.
Annegret - The "asian looking chair" is actually a cat scratcher ..... I bought it off craigslist but here is a link http://www.kittypod.com/kittypod2.html
Thank you to those of you who said nice things about my dog. She is incredibly sweet and very loving.
I think the doggie looks sweet...if a bit nonplussed by the whole thing. ;)
This dog is f**king awesome!
That dog looks like a leader of some kind of doggie cult. i want your Eames Storage Unit something fierce.
Very cool chairs! You really make me want to reupholster... I just wish it wasn't so damn expensive.
Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! I love the comments about the "devil dog." When I first saw him, I wandered if it was taxidermy.
Yikes, commenters, Since when did AT get so mean!
I think these chairs are great - and well done on finding an upholsterer that will let you bring in your own fabric harvested elsewhere. What did the labor on the first chairs cost, about?
Well done.
Thank you Sarah, the chairs in the first picture were about $250 ea on the labor.....Roberto at D&R had the best prices I found and he was v helpful as far as letting me know how much yardage I would need and he also was prompt picking up and dropping off the pcs....
That dog is awesome! Hilarious photo.
I love the blue velvet chair. What was the cost and time for that piece? I have one similar that i need to redo
Aw, puppydog. She probably just wants to be sitting on the chairs, which is why she's giving the camera the ol' stinkeye.
Nice chair collection. I really like the blue velvet chair in the last photo.
Bridget, the Blue mohair velvet fabric was about $100 (for 3 yards) @ Modern Fabrics and the upholstery @ D&R was around $180....he did it in about a week. Hope that helps.
this is SO helpful! Thanks so much Maggie!

Sweet doggie and sweeter chairs.
