Fairy children. Here's another resource to tuck in your cap. Magic Cabin is a catalog company that sells "Childhood's Purest Treasures," meaning handmade, all-natural dolls, toys, crafts and furniture.

This is an excellent, really well priced resource for those whose approach to childhood doesn't necessarily involve batteries. As the founder, Sara McDonald says,

We believe in good old-fashioned "make-believe" and in children's innate need to interact in a natural environment with simple, all-natural toys and crafts. The words "batteries not included" do not appear in our catalog because our toys are "kid-powered".

Our favorites are the child sized tools ($25) and kitchenette ($169) for learning about how a house is kept, along with the cherry tree blocks ($30) and children's furniture for $50 - $170. FYI - the catalog is the way to shop. It is prettier and more complete. MGR
