What a super awesome solution for nighttime stair climbing. When we lived at our parent's three story Victorian growing up, not wanting to turn on lights and disturb sleeping parents, we'd risk life and limb to go up the stairs after a late night. This would have been a nice solution. According to YouTube user, interactivefurniture, "The stairs detect when a person enters it and activate the integrated lighting." It even works with their cats, but those silly felines don't realize the awesomeness in action.
