Buzzz. We were speaking with a friend yesterday who is finally finishing the renovation of his apartment in Chelsea. The job was behind schedule because he had had to fire the electrician and find a new one. The old one was in over his head and was bluffing his way through the job.
The replacement electrician is Woodlawn Electric and he says these guys are great. he had originally met and not chosen them because their price was high, but now he says he wishes he had gone with them to start.
Pros: excellent electrical work
Cons: higher price
Most companies will charge you @ $100 per electrical box, and Woodlawn charges @ $20 more per box. However, Woodlawn's guys are smart and efficient and do a very good job. (Thanks, Jeff!) MGR

Can you clarify "$100 per electrical box"? Do you mean per outlet, per switch, per line, all or some of the above? My experience is that dedicated lines average $150. I say do it yourself, see

Woodlawn came by today to fix a burnt-out wire in a fusebox. Once they heard our building's heating was affected (on this freezing day) they kindly came within hours as we actually live around the corner - ordinarily would have been several days for an appointment.
Job done fast & efficiently, friendly Dublin man, $170 - their basic callout fee. I'd recommend them.
That number is now disconnected. Is there another phone number for them or did they go out of business?
