apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Craftster.org

2005_1_18_craft.gifDIY. For all of us city slickers who are just learning how to do things ourselves 'cause Home Depot came to town (right), we pass along Craftster.org. We barely need to say more.

But we will. Craftster is a forum for people who love to make things, just not dumb things. These folks like challenges. Making clothing, knitting, bookmaking, cooking, stenciling....just to name a few, and they have a great list of resources for crafts as well. (Thanks, Christy!) MGR

Craftster is very cool. You have to sift through a lot of generic projects sometimes, but it is rich with wildly unique ideas and talented execution.

I love craftster! I've both given and recieved advice on the knitting end of the site. A lot of the cuter projects are on the punk side of things, and it attracts a lot of people who really want to cut and paste and rearrange popular free knitting patterns. It kinda reminds me of ReadyMade magazine...
