The Banana Bunker

2005_1_25_banana.jpgDept. of Inventions. With all the rowdy readers that have been hitting the comment button in the past few days, we don't expect the Banana Bunker to please the politicos, but it may cause a few smiles. Eventually, everything needs an accessory, even something as perfect as a banana.

2005_1_25_banana2.gifThe B Bunker was designed by Australian, Paul Stremple, and is meant to protect not only your banana when it is packed in a bag, but also the contents of your bag, allowing you to pack more fruit and eat healthy on the go. Available for only $4.99 (or $19.95 for a pack of 5!). (Thanks, Laurie!) MGR

Actually brought tears to my eyes from laughter. Real, big fat tears.

I'm ashamed to use my real name because I think it's a good idea, if tacky as all hell. I mash my 'nanners every time I carry them as healthy, quick snacks - can't stand the idea of paying deli prices for a single, ubiquitous yet underripened as those are. But still - a banana shield? A banana-lactic? *sigh* Are we fiddling as our civilization burns??

As Mae West quipped, "Is that a gun in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?" Something on that order.
