It's officially "the Holidays", the only time of year I put my fancy table runner to use. It isn't really all that fancy, but it boosts my tables self esteem quite a bit! Etsy has lots to offer in handmade and vintage table runners, here are some of my favorites.

Held at Cipriani’s grand ballroom on 42nd Street, the evening’s theme, The Written Word, inspired us to make recycled newspaper our material hero dujour.

We went to see Twilight this weekend and our room radar went into overdrive when we saw the set for Edward Cullen's bedroom. Tuesday, we listed a bunch of different cotton tea towels for use in the kitchen. With so many great varieties of design, it would be easy to end up with a surplus, but thanks to their versatility, they can be much, much more than a dish drying towel. Earlier this month we wrote a post about how to make a dropcloth slipcover work. There were mixed reactions to the idea of draping a sofa in a basic canvas throw, so we're wondering how people feel about using a printed cloth cover, like this sofa styled in hand-blocked indigo fabric from Les Indiennes.
It's no secret that we're huge fans of Emma's Design Blogg; after all, she features some amazing photos of inspiring interiors. Emma recently re-painted her bedroom with Beckers paint and what a difference it makes: Her bedroom went from drabby dirty walls with yellow trim to a pristine white paired with a light grey.
