Q: I saw this sectional in one of the Apartment Therapy house tours recently and the owner was kind enough to comment that it was a Jasper sectional from Room and Board.  Unfortunately they no longer sell the corner unit just chaises. My apartment is small and has a wonky configuration so I can't get any sectional with a chaise…

We've promoted and attended a few architectural tours in our time, as we're totally decor-minded Nosey Neds who love getting to take a peek and walk inside other people's homes given the opportunity. But we're especially excited about attending the The Eastside Eco Tour because of it's green architecture focus in and around our own zipcode…and because it's FREE!

Q: I have a vintage vinyl Herman Miller chair that got very beat up in a move. I have no clue its true value so not sure if it is worth the repair cost. I was wondering if your readers could help me out. Also any suggestions on places that could repair (on the cheap) preferred.

Ooh! We are liking the lo-fi audio set-up wallpaper company, makelike, has put together on their site. Love the low credenza filled with records. And that speaker is gorgeous -- the white casing, the dark wood, and the coral ring on the cone, pure beauty. Does anyone know who makes it?

We love hearing from readers with updates about renovations or a move to a new home. Earlier this year, Jaime gave us a peek of her previous home in Silver Lake, right before making a move to a new home in the Fairfax District of Los Angeles. She's finally settled into her new abode, recreating a little bit of Palm Springs chic in both the interior and backyard areas of her rental, a space they describe as a "little modern, a little cozy".

Feline lovers, get ready for some pie-in-the-sky dreams come true: The Cats’ House designed by Japanese architecture firm Fauna+DeSIGN is dizzying in the amount of playful, yet tastefully designed, details created to amuse 16 very fortunate felines. Rounded corners throughout, bookcase steps, tunnels, skylights, ceiling catwalks and a floor to ceiling scratching post make this possibly the coolest pet-centric home we've ever seen.

Q: I'm about to close on my first condo and since now I can actually paint for the first time ever, I was thinking of painting an accent wall. The new place is exactly the same as my current unit (pictured here) except the floors will be darker, almost cherry, and I'll be getting my grandmother's fabulous olive green 1950s coffee table.

Being a renter with a modest income and even more modest space to work with means compromises will be made when putting together a decent home theater setup. We've been pretty satisfied with our current setup, but we're looking forward to 2010 as the year we move toward a proper 1080p setup with true surround sound, and here's our plan…
