Michi Yanagishita, our New York judge, agrees with ">Jan Parr that East #21 - Eduardos Recyclables is the perfect choice for Honorable Mention.
According to Michi, It's hard to believe it's 366 sq ft! Eduardo's myriad of objects showcases his design sense but is not claustrophobic. I also like his dedication to renewability, because in truth, it is definitely the best way to be green when furnishing one's apartment.

Who was your favorite entry and why?
There are a lot of small entries that I really like, but my favorite is Luca's Surplus of Storage and Light. The furniture is great, I love the room divider (with a rotating tv - hidden : the best place), the brick and the white walls, and the finish seems to be of great quality.

Who was your favorite entry and why?
I think of all entries, Nicolas' Mini Loft was my favorite entry this year. Went back to watch the pictures many times, and though at first glance it might look like the bones of the apartment gave it its appeal, I think Nicolas' good taste and restraint did the magic. Many people would manage to ruin it through over-decorating, Nicolas made it shine.

When it came to picking my favorite "other entry" I based my decision which apt I would like to live in myself. Hands down it would be Tamie and Vincent's Philly Loft. I covet that place! The windows, the light, the loft bedroom....

Tanya's Industrial Chic. I like clean modern lines and white paint.

Uri relishes monochrome as a background because of all the possibilities it allows in the foreground. Growing up in a Brooklyn home designed by his father and full of some of the furniture seen here had an impact as well on his color choices. While accustomed to this palette, Uri does not feel constrained by it...

When I walked in, Olga offered me a glass of water from her energy-efficient fridge sitting in the middle of her living room. Her kitchen, at this point, exists as a mere suggestion.
Black marker drawings on the floor and walls indicate future appliance and cabinet locations. We were surrounded by lots and lots of boxes. I was worried.
