What's the Story on Eames Lounges with Pattern?
Good Questions

loungeq020910.jpgQ: I'm a former Chicagoan now living in Dubai. I was scavenging for an Eames lounge and found this in the local classifieds. Just take a look at the pattern. I wonder if its original and if it is are there other custom patterns on this chair.

Great Ideas from A Small Kitchen

We love how the kitchen tends to be the center of action in a majority of homes. Whether it be a "command center" or just a place to hang out and unwind with friends over a glass of wine, the kitchen is where it's at. Heidi's ideas help maximize the performance of her small space--so it functions like a kitchen twice its size!

Advice and Inspiration for Updating a Kitchen?
Good Questions

Q: I just bought a duplex and moved in two months ago. I have done all the painting in all the rooms except the kitchen. The kitchen totally doesn't fit with the other rooms. I have no inspiration for it. I particularly do not like the tiles and the ''reddish'' color of the cabinets. I can't changed the tiles for now. Does somebody have any ideas to improve the look of my kitchen?

Home Hacks

2010HomeHackspostBadge.jpg We signed the lease on our loft because of all it's beautiful natural light, but it can make things like tv watching and game playing a bit of an eye strain. We've been trying to make the "living area" of our loft actually livable while the sun is out, and we managed to curtain off over 30' of space for under $40, click through the jump to see how!

How To Manage and Sort Your Mail
Home Hacks

2010HomeHackspostBadge.jpgLike many of you, we like to take care of and sort our mail first thing when we come home. But sometimes we are too tired or busy to get around to it for a couple of days. It was after our pile built up to an embarrassing height that we developed our system with handy accessories.

Affordable Lounge Chairs and Cocktail Tables

A round cocktail table surrounded by four comfy lounge chairs seems to be the perfect arrangement for sharing drinks and conversation with friends, playing board games with family, or just reading the paper with a cup of coffee. There is no rule stating that a cocktail table must be flanked by a sofa and two chairs, so why not shake it up just a little?

Recycling Made Easy
Good Finds

There is nothing glamorous about our kitchen's recycling display. It consists of two paper bags on the floor and one underneath the sink. Since our kitchen is tiny, the two on the floor usually get kicked around the room depending on where we are cooking, resulting in the occasional spill. After seeing this invention, we could not be happier.
