Gardens and plants by nature are rather attractive, but sometimes the vessel in which they're held can be just as large of show stopper — like this 3-tiered planter planter that screams summer fun, beauty and is bound to glam up any stoop or front porch. Want to see how it's made?

Over at Positively Splendid, Amy Bell was looking for a project that could be easily accomplished while wrangling her 3 kids. The pots were painted (complete with house number), filled and planted and the results are simply out of sight.

Although planters of this nature aren't a new thing, we love the look of the bright colors in combination with the plants. Plus, with the addition of the numbers, maybe it will ensure that your plants don't wander away in the middle of the night!

Even after the blooms are long gone, these plants will keep on looking fabulous. They'll even be great in winter with pine branches around them... how festive! Check out the full step-by-step tutorial to make your own over at Positively Splendid.

Thanks Amy!
