We never had a basket on our bike while growing up, but boy oh boy did we want one! The things we could have brought home from our outdoor travels? Rocks, sticks, flowers, more rocks.... ok so maybe we see why we never had one, but if we could have saved mom some cash by having one that's homemade, maybe she would have budged a little!
This basket hooks to any children's bike with a simple velcro closure and can even be tossed in the wash (so when they bring home a live frog, there's a cleaning option!). Anna of Noodlehead came up with this cute pattern that has a few steps to it, but isn't anything a basic sewer (even if you're doing it by hand) can't tackle.
We think these would make darling birthday presents and could even come inside during the winter months and hang from bunk bed rails to hold notebooks, crayons and more!
